Part of the Black Country, this medium-sized town in the Borough of Walsall lies upon the River Tame between Wolverhampton and Walsall. The area’s northern border verges on greenbelt land but Willenhall is historically famous for the manufacture of locks and keys. Its high street retains many old landmark buildings and the town centre is a designated conservation area – although urban regeneration proposals have been submitted. Willenhall is nearby Junction 10 of the M6. Main roads running through it include The Keyway and the A454.
